Woman, 70, robbed of $20 at knifepoint in the Bronx; suspect sought

NEW YORK (WCBS 880) -- A man robbed a 70-year-old woman at knifepoint in broad daylight outside a Bronx apartment building, police said.

The NYPD released a surveillance image of a suspect Wednesday as they searched for him in connection to the Dec. 8 robbery in Morris Heights.

Police said the victim was in front of an apartment building on Phelan Place, near W. Tremont Avenue, when a man pulled a knife on her around 1:15 p.m.

The thief stole $20 from the woman before fleeing on foot, police said.

The victim was not injured.
