Cops tried pulling over the driver of a black SUV in the Bronx near East 194th Street and Briggs Avenue after noticing an expired New Jersey license plate. It happened on Dec. 12 at about 6 p.m.

Police said the driver wouldn’t stop, driving through red lights at high speeds and swerving through traffic.

Soon after, officers saw the vehicle drive on a sidewalk and back up toward officers at West 190th Street and Davidson Avenue, less than a mile from where officers first tried to conduct a stop.

Officers exited their vehicle, with one male officer entering the suspect’s passenger side door, and a female officer opening the driver’s side door and partially entering the vehicle, the NYPD said.

At that time, police said the driver hit the gas, dragging the female officer and causing her to fall onto the street. The suspect then drove over her leg and into a parked car.

The driver was apprehended, but flailed his arms to try and prevent them from arresting him, cops said.

The suspect was identified as Usman Haruna, 24, of Manhattan. He was hit with a long list of charges, including assault, reckless endangerment, leaving the scene of an accident, resisting arrest, reckless driving, aggravated unlicensed operator and more.

Both officers were taken to Jacobi Hospital in stable condition, police said. The female officer suffered a fractured ankle.
