Bicyclist, 30, critically injured in Queens hit-and-run: cops

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — Police are looking for a Queens hit-and-run driver who struck and critically injured a bicyclist early Sunday.

The crash happened just after 2 a.m. at the corner of 48th Street and Northern Boulevard in Long Island City.

The 30-year-old victim was rushed to NYC Health + Hospitals/Elmhurst in critical condition.

The car, a red Nissan Pathfinder, was later found abandoned in a parking lot on South 9th Street and Wythe Avenue in Williamsburg.

An investigation is ongoing.
