Police searching for BK subway robber who attacked victim with piece of wood, bit his arm

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — Police are searching for a man who attacked a commuter with a piece of wood and bit his arm before stealing his cellphone.

The 40-year-old man was walking down the stairs at the Utica Avenue A/C subway station on Aug. 20 around 10 a.m. when the stranger approached him from behind and bashed him in the head and back with a piece of wood.

The attacker also bit his arm and stole his cellphone before fleeing.

Emergency responders brought the victim to Interfaith Medical Center.
