NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — A man fatally shot at a Brooklyn catering hall was identified late Saturday as an alleged Bloods gang member.
Shaquil Dunbar, 29, was shot and killed inside the K&L Manor on Glenwood Road in Flatlands about 4:15 a.m., according to police.
The victim was a member of the Bloods street gang and had a lengthy criminal record, a source told the Daily News.
Three shots were fired as a dance floor in the hall was packed with people dressed in white, according to a video obtained by the Daily News.
Everyone dropped to the ground, while police said the gunman fled the scene.
Dunbar was rushed to Brookdale University Hospital and Medical Center, but he couldn't be saved.
It was unclear what type of event the victim was attending at the hall, where two women told the paper that the space has strict bag and coat checks.
One of the women, who did not wish to be named, said she was surprised by the shooting.
"I’ve never heard of a fight. There's never been anything violent happened over there," she said. "It's a proper venue. [It's] high class. They take things very seriously."
An investigation is ongoing.
