NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — A 59-year-old woman was killed in a blaze early Sunday in the Bronx, authorities said.
The fire began just before 1 a.m. in an apartment building on Webster Avenue.
Authorities said the woman was discovered inside an apartment and was taken to BronxCare Health System Hospital, where she died.
Her identity has not yet been released.
The FDNY Fire Marshall will determine the cause of the fire. There are no other reported injuries at this time.
The investigation remains ongoing at this time.
