NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- Police on Sunday released photos of a group of six suspects who pulled a teen boy off a Bronx MTA bus earlier this month.

Just after 3 p.m. on Thursday, June 1, a 13-year-old boy was on a westbound Bx4 MTA bus when he was approached by the group, officials said.

The suspects dragged the teen off the bust at the Boynton Avenue and Westchester Avenue bus stop and began to repeatedly punch him in the face and body, the NYPD said.

The teen was able to flee to safety, and the suspects fled the location on foot in an unknown direction.

EMS transported the teen in stable condition to BronxCare Health System, where he was treated for non-life threatening injuries.

Anyone with information in regard to this incident is asked to call the NYPD's Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477).
