NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — A 14-year-old boy was arrested Friday for stabbing a 36-year-old man at a Staten Island NYCHA complex Wednesday night.

Police accused the child of stabbing Jamel Carmona in the stomach at the Stapleton Houses on Broad Street near Gordon Street around 9 p.m. on Wednesday.

Emergency responders found Carmona lying in a pool of his own blood and rushed him to Staten Island University Hospital Ocean Breeze, where he was pronounced dead.

The child faces charges of murder, manslaughter, assault and weapon possession.

Police are withholding the boy’s identity due to his age.
