NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — A 16-year-old boy was stabbed multiple times in the back at a Brooklyn laundromat on Tuesday, according to police.

The teenager was attacked just after 3 p.m. at a laundromat near the intersection of 6th Avenue and 49th Street in Sunset Park, officials said.

The Fu Xing and Clear Clean laundromats stand across from each other at that intersection. It’s unclear which one the teenager was stabbed in.

Emergency responders rushed the boy to Lutheran Medical Center after the attack.

Officers are searching for five people who fled in a car.

Police are not yet clear on the motive, and an investigation into the stabbing is ongoing.
