Boy sexually assaulted by man who forced him away from busy Brooklyn street: police

NEW YORK (WCBS 880) -- A 13-year-old boy was sexually assaulted by a man who told him he had a knife and forced him away from a street in Brooklyn this week, police said Thursday as they released video of a suspect.

The boy was near Rockaway Parkway and Winthrop Street, a fairly busy area in Brownsville, around 3:50 p.m. Monday when the man came up and started talking to him, according to police.

The man told the boy he had a knife and then forced him to an unknown location, where he sexually assaulted him, police said.

News 12 reported that the man asked the boy if he wanted to play video games and then led him to an apartment in the area.

The boy eventually got away and was transported to an area hospital.
