
NEW YORK (1010 WINS) – Two teenage boys were shot and wounded as they ate at a fried chicken restaurant in Harlem on Wednesday night, police said.
The two boys, ages 13 and 16, were at Mama's Fried Chicken on Frederick Douglass Boulevard, near W. 116th Street, around 8:40 p.m. when someone entered and fired three times, according to police.
The 13-year-old was shot in the head and the 16-year-old was shot in the back, police said.
The 13-year-old was taken to St. Luke’s Hospital, while his friend was transported to Harlem Hospital. Both are expected to survive.

A 17-year-old person of interest was taken into custody, but charges have yet to be filed, the New York Post. The shooting may have been gang-related, according to reports.
Meanwhile, the governors of New York, New Jersey, Connecticut and Pennsylvania are set to hold a press conference Thursday afternoon to “take action to help prevent gun violence.”
