Bronx couple fatally stabs roommate, 29, who told them to quiet down during dispute: NYPD

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- A Bronx couple is in custody after their 29-year-old roommate was stabbed to death early Friday after he told them to quiet down during an argument, the NYPD said.

According to police, at around 3 a.m., the couple was having an argument
inside their apartment on Perry Ave. near E 205th St. in Norwood when the victim told them to quiet down.

The roommates, a 21-year-old man, and his 20-year-old girlfriend then began to argue with the victim, who went back to his room and began blasting music, officials said.

The argument then escalated and the victim was stabbed to death, authorities said.

Police responded to a 911 call of an assault and officers discovered the victim with stab wounds in the neck and chest.

The couple was taken into custody for questioning but have not yet been charged and an investigation is ongoing.
