Carjacker flees into Bronx golf course after crashing into vehicle: NYPD

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- The NYPD is searching for a suspected carjacker who crashed into another vehicle before fleeing into a Bronx golf course earlier this month in the Bronx, authorities said.

At approximately 3 p.m. on Monday, March 7, a 28-year-old man was seated in his vehicle in the vicinity of Allerton Avenue and Williamsbridge Road in Allerton when he was approached by suspects who simulated a firearm and forcibly removed him from the vehicle, police said.

The suspects fled in the vehicle and crashed with a vehicle that was stationary at a red light in the vicinity of 500 Hutchinson Parkway in Throgs neck.

After striking the other vehicle, the suspects subsequently crashed into the exterior boundary of the Trump Golf Links at Ferry Point located at 500 Hutchinson Parkway, rendering the vehicle inoperable.

The suspect then fled on foot onto the grounds of the golf course and then on to parts unknown.

The 33-year-old female driver of the vehicle which was struck refused medical attention.
