NEW YORK (1010 WINS/WCBS 880) -- A man trying to sell his dog online was robbed of the pup at gunpoint when he met three thieves who posed as potential buyers, police said Thursday.
The NYPD released an image of one of the three men sought in Tuesday night's robbery in Hunts Point.
Police also released an image of the dog, which they're hoping to find.
The 23-year-old victim advertised the dog on social media, and the three men expressed interest in buying the animal, police said.
They agreed to meet outside the victim's apartment building at Seneca Avenue and Faile Street Tuesday night.
But during the meetup around 9:20 p.m., the trio pulled a gun on the victim and stole his dog, police said.
They fled with the dog in a gray, four-door sedan, according to police.
The victim was not injured in the robbery. The condition of the dog is not known.
