NEW YORK (WCBS 880) -- A chain-reaction crash sent an overturned car crashing into multiple vehicles in Queens on Monday night, leaving its driver in critical condition.

The chaotic crash started around 10 p.m. when the 27-year-old driver of a Chrysler 300 struck a parked Toyota Camry while traveling southbound on 101st Avenue in South Richmond Hill.
The impact sent the Camry hurtling into a parked Toyota Highlander. Both Toyotas were unoccupied at the time.
The Chrysler flipped over after striking the Camry, but it continued traveling southbound down 121st Street while overturned, police said.

The flipped Chrysler then struck the back of a Jeep Wrangler that was stopped at a traffic light at 101st Avenue at 121st Street before sliding into the front of a Nissan Pathfinder that was going westbound on 101st Avenue, police said.
The smashed Chrysler came to a rest on its roof in the intersection.
The driver of the Chrysler suffered severe trauma to his head and body. He was transported by EMS to Jamaica Hospital Medical Center, where he was listed in critical condition Tuesday.
The drivers of the Jeep and Nissan suffered minor injuries and remained at the scene.
It’s unclear what led to the crash. The NYPD said an investigation is ongoing.
