Driver sought after man, 56, hospitalized in Queens hit-and-run

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- A 56-year-old man was hospitalized following a hit-and-run at a Queens intersection late Wednesday night, according to the NYPD.

It happened at approximately 11:30 p.m. as the victim was at the cross section of Jamaica Avenue and 199th Street in Hollis, officials said.

Police said the victim was attempting to cross Jamaica Avenue when he was struck by a black Lincoln Town car that continued driving after the collision.

He was transported to North Shore University Hospital in Manhasset in serious but stable condition.

An investigation remains ongoing and authorities continue to search for the driver.
