NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- Authorities are looking to identify two men wanted for impersonating police during a violent burglary at a Brooklyn housing complex early last month.
The incident happened at approximately 8:15 a.m. on Saturday, January 8, inside of a residence at the Cypress Hills Houses in the vicinity of Linden Boulevard and Euclid Avenue in Cypress Hill, the NYPD said.

According to officials, two men entered the building and knocked on an apartment door of a 53-year-old man, and stated they were police officers.
The victim opened his door and exited his apartment and the two suspects then put him in handcuffs and took him from his apartment to another location in the building where they began to punch him in the head and body causing pain and bruising, police said.
The men then took approximately $100 cash from the victim’s pocket, removed the handcuffs, and fled the location on foot, authorities said.
EMS responded but the victim refused medical attention at the scene.
Officials described the two suspects as men in their 20’s-30’s. There were both last seen wearing all dark clothing.
Police on Tuesday released surveillance video of the susepcts from the incident location, during the incident.
