NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- The NYPD is searching for two suspects who violently beat a teen boy before robbing him on a Staten Island street on Tuesday evening, authorities said.
At approximately 6 p.m., a 17-year-old boy was walking in the vicinity of Arthur Kill Road and Token Street in Aspen Knolls when he was approached by two males.
One of the males punched the victim and held him down while another male kicked him in the head.
The suspects then repeatedly punched the victim before forcibly removing his cellphone and keys.
The suspects then fled in a white van with New Jersey license plate XEGV57 in an unknown direction.
The victim was transported to an area hospital and treated for injuries to his head.
Police believe the first suspect to be approximately 50-years-old.
The second suspect is believed to be approximately 17-years-old.
