NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — Two men posing as Con Edison workers bound and gagged a Brooklyn woman during a home invasion robbery late Monday, police said.

According to police, the 58-year-old woman received a knock at her door at her home on Rockaway Parkway near Clarkson Avenue around 11:55 p.m. from one of the men saying he was with the company.

The woman opened the door, and the duo barged in. One of them flashed a gun, but it was not used.

Police told NBC New York that the crooks made off with a TV and other items.

The men were reportedly only inside the apartment for about 15 minutes.

Police said the victim sustained minor injuries but refused medical attention at the scene.

An investigation is ongoing.
