NEW YORK (1010 WINS/WCBS 880) – A man opened fire on an MTA bus driver and two other MTA workers in Brooklyn on Tuesday morning—reportedly after he was kicked off for dodging the fare.

Gunfire rang out around 6:20 a.m. at a bus stop at Flatlands and Louisiana avenues in East New York, police said.

The shooter is a man who got on a B82 SBS bus and then refused to pay the fare, WABC reported.

MTA Eagle Team members, who enforce fares, reportedly tried to escort the man to a fare machine at the bus stop when he grew irate, pulled a gun and shot at them and the MTA bus driver.

No one was hit by the gunfire, police said.

The man fled the area and was last seen headed north on Louisiana Avenue.
