Man dies after FDNY, NYPD divers pull him from Harlem River

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- A man died after FDNY and NYPD water units pulled him from the Harlem River on Saturday.

Authorities received reports of a person in the river off of the northern tip of Roberto Clemente State Park in University Heights around 12:25 p.m., according to FDNY officials.

The FDNY and the NYPD both deployed multiple divers who managed to recover the man.

Fire department marine units then transported him to shore.

Emergency responders rushed him to NewYork-Presbyterian Allen Hospital, where he was later pronounced dead, according to police.
