
NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — Firefighters were in Central Park on Tuesday afternoon battling numerous brush fires that may have been set intentionally.
At least three small brush fires were reported near Central Park West and 110th Street around 1:30 p.m.
Video from Citizen App showed thick white smoke billowing up from a wooded area in the park.
There have been no reports of any injuries and the FDNY said all of the fires had been extinguished just before 3:30 p.m.

Police told 1010 WINS that a witness described seeing a man setting at least one of the fires at the location.
No arrests have been made and the investigation is ongoing.
The cause of the fires will be investigated by Fire Marshals, according to the FDNY.
