NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — The former president of NYC Transit under Bill de Blasio was assaulted unprovoked last week, the New York Post learned from an anonymous source.

Sarah Feinberg, 45, was punched in the face around 1:15 p.m. on Oct. 20 at the corner of West 21st Street and 6th Avenue.

The attacker, described by police as a man of roughly 5 foot 8 inches man in his 40s, reportedly punched Feinberg unprovoked in the face while walking the wrong way in the bike lane.

Feinberg called the police, who reportedly failed to respond in a timely manner, forcing her to walk to a nearby precinct building to file a report instead.

The motive for the attack is unclear, and police have not yet made any arrests.
