NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — Funeral arrangements for Alison Russo-Elling, the 61-year-old FDNY EMT who was stabbed to death in an unprovoked attack in Queens on Thursday, have been scheduled for next week.

The veteran EMT and 9/11 first responder was walking from her unit to get lunch when her attacker stabbed her almost 20 times near the intersection of 20th Avenue and 41st Street in Astoria.

Police arrested Peter Zisopoulos, 34, after he barricaded himself in his apartment.

Russo-Elling will lie in repose on Monday and Tuesday at the Commack Abbey Funeral Home’s Tilles Center in Brookeville, according to the funeral home’s website.

The service will be held at the same building on Wednesday at 11 a.m., after which she will be cremated in a private ceremony.

The family asked that mourners donate to the EMS FDNY Help Fund or the Little Shelter Animal Rescue & Adoption Center in lieu of sending flowers.
