NEW YORK (1010 WINS/WCBS 880) -- A 15-year-old girl was hospitalized in critical condition Thursday after falling from a moving party bus in Queens, police said.

The NYPD received "numerous" 911 calls around 8:45 p.m. Wednesday after the girl fell out of the party bus on the Cross Island Parkway, near the Hempstead Avenue overpass, in Queens Village.

The girl was leaning against the emergency door when it opened, causing her to fall onto the roadway, WABC reported.

The bus driver wasn't immediately aware of what happened and kept driving before eventually turning around, police said.

Emergency responders found the girl with traumatic injuries to her body.

She was transported to North Shore University Hospital, where she was listed in critical condition.

Police said an investigation is ongoing. No arrests have been reported.
