According to police, officers responded at 10:48 a.m. to a 911 call about a motor vehicle collision in the parking lot of Orchard Beach.

The New York Daily News reports the driver and three teen friends allegedly stole the car in Mount Vernon on Tuesday morning and drove it five miles south into the Bronx.

A preliminary investigation found that the 15-year-old driver of a 2018 Nissan Sentra, along with a 15-year-old girl, a 16-year-old girl and a 17-year-old boy, struck a concrete divider and toll booth, authorities said.

The passengers were taken to NYC Health + Hospitals/Jacobi in stable condition, while the driver was rushed to the hospital in critical condition.

Police said all four teens were charged late Tuesday with unauthorized use of a motor vehicle and criminal possession of stolen property.
