NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — Police are searching for a group of masked men who have been robbing delivery workers of their rides at gunpoint in Manhattan and the Bronx.

The first attempt at robbery took place on April 6 around 5 p.m. on First Avenue near Tito Puente Way, a block away from Thomas Jefferson Park in East Harlem, according to officials.

The group approached a 29-year-old delivery worker on a bike. One brandished a gun and demanded his ride, but the man was able to flee while they tried to grab it, police said.

The victim suffered minor injuries to his ankle and knee during his escape.

About half an hour later that same day, the group tried to rob a delivery worker in Crotona Park in the Bronx.

A different 29-year-old man making deliveries on a bike was held at gunpoint by the group. This time, the robbers managed to take his bike before fleeing.

No one was injured during this incident.

On April 12 around 6:30 p.m., the group held a 23-year-old man on a moped at gunpoint at the intersection of Prospect Avenue and Fairmount Place in Crotona.

The men took his moped and fled. No one was injured.
