Police are investigating whether five robberies at Duane Reade pharmacies in Manhattan—including a pair of back-to-back thefts Wednesday—are linked to a sixth at a pharmacy in Brooklyn, all since Feb. 28, law enforcement sources told the New York Post.

The teens have been after painkillers like Oxycodone and codeine, with one cop telling the Post, “They know what they want, they’re in and out quickly.”

Authorities believe the drugs are being sold on the black market for quick cash.

The thieves struck twice Wednesday, hitting a Duane Reade at Madison Avenue and E. 89th Street around 5 p.m. and another at Broadway and W. 72nd Street less than 20 minutes later, according to the report.

In the second incident, the teens asked, “Where the Oxycodone at?” while simulating guns.

There was a similar robbery at a pharmacy on Church Avenue in Brownsville around 5 p.m. Tuesday.

Other Duane Reade pharmacies in Manhattan were robbed on March 16, March 7 and Feb. 28.
