Gunman sought after girl, 15, struck in leg on Bronx street: NYPD

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- Police released a photo of a gunman they are looking to identify who is accused of shooting a teen girl in the leg in the Bronx earlier this week, the NYPD said.

On Tuesday, April 12, at approximately 7 p.m. the suspect approached a group of people at the Edenwald Houses located at the corner of East 225th Street and Laconia Avenue in Edenwald and displayed a firearm, authorities said.

The suspect then proceeded to discharge the firearm multiple times, striking a 15-year-old girl in the leg. EMS responded and transported the victim to NYC Health and Hospitals/Jacobi in stable condition.

The individual fled the location to parts unknown. No other injuries have been reported in regard.
