NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- Officials are searching for a gunman who allegedly fired a weapon inside a Brooklyn subway station on Monday night, authorities said.
At about 7:20 p.m. responded to reports of shots fired inside the Sterling Street station along the 2 and 5 line located in Prospect Lefferts Gardens.
There was at least one shell casing recovered on the staircase of the station, cops said.
The suspect fled westbound on Sterling Street.
There were no injuries reported and no arrests have been made.
Police described the suspect as a man approximately 19-years-old with braids who was last seen wearing a short-sleeve red and white flannel shirt, jeans.
An investigation remains ongoing.
