The gunman shot the victim once in the chest around 9:30 a.m. at an upscale Bronx apartment building called the Haven on East 135th Street near Willis Avenue in Mott Haven, authorities said.

The shooter fled in a black Nissan Rogue with Connecticut plates, according to officials.

Emergency responders rushed the victim to Lincoln Hospital in critical condition.

The NYPD did not announce the victim’s identity or what events led up to the shooting.

It's unclear whether the shooter is a FedEx employee or not.

“We are aware of media reports and are fully cooperating with investigating authorities," a spokesperson for FedEx said.
