Harlem robber demands sex act at knifepoint then follows victim into subway: police

NEW YORK (WCBS 880) -- A robber demanded a woman perform a sex act at knifepoint in Harlem and then followed her into the subway, police said Monday as they released video of a suspect.

The 23-year-old victim was walking at Madison Avenue and E. 127th Street just after midnight Saturday morning when the man approached her from behind.

He took out a knife and demanded she perform a sex act on him as he stole her cellphone and Apple AirPods, police said.

The woman apparently escaped and made it to the nearby 125th Street subway station at Lexington Avenue.

The man pursued her into the station and onto a northbound 6 train, but he ultimately left the train and fled, according to police.

The woman was not physically injured, police said.

Surveillance video appears to show the suspect walking with the victim and then talking to her as she sits in a chair on a sidewalk.
