
NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — A 49-year-old man was killed by a hit-and-run driver in Williamsburg on Friday, according to police.
He was struck by a Honda CR-V at the intersection of South Fifth Street and Keap Street around 12:24 p.m., officials said.
Emergency responders rushed the victim to NYC Health + Hospitals/Woodhull, where he was pronounced dead.
Officers found the SUV abandoned near the crash scene. Authorities believe the driver fled on foot toward the Bushwick Houses nearby.
Police have not yet made any arrests, and an investigation into the killing is ongoing.
