Knife-wielding man robs woman aboard subway train in Greenwich Village: NYPD

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — Police are searching for a knife-wielding man accused of robbing a woman aboard a Manhattan subway train last week, officials said.

According to officials, at about 9:35 a.m. on Feb. 11, the suspect approached the 38-year-old victim while they were both aboard an E train inside the West 4th Street subway station in Greenwich Village.

The suspect displayed a knife and stole the woman’s handbag, her iPhone, credit card, and $40 cash, the NYPD said.

Police released video surveillance of the suspect leaving the train after the robbery.
