Knife-wielding thief robs man in Queens, flees on Citi Bike: NYPD

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- The NYPD is searching for a suspect accused of robbing a man at knifepoint inside a Queens building on Monday, authorities said.

At approximately 3:15 p.m. the suspect followed a 47-year-old man into the vestibule of a residential building in the vicinity of Woodward Avenue and Dekalb Avenue in Ridgewood, police said.

The suspect then displayed a knife and demanded money from the victim.

The victim complied and the suspect took approximately $380 from the victim, officials said.

The suspect fled the location on a Citi bike southbound on Dekalb Avenue.

The suspect was last seen wearing a black hoodie, light colored jeans, and gray sneakers.
