NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — The NYPD is asking for the public's help in identifying a critically injured man who was beaten in the Bronx over the weekend, police said.

The victim was approached by three people at Third Avenue and East 187th Street on Saturday around 1:15 p.m.

Police said the group punched the man in the face and struck him around the body with a bag before kicking him in the neck, causing him to fall to the ground.

The victim was transported by EMS to St. Barnabas Hospital in critical condition and is being treated for a skull fracture.
