NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — Officials are investigating the shooting death of a 22-year-old man inside a Bronx building on Monday night, according to the NYPD.
Just before 7 p.m., police responded to a 911 call of a man shot inside of 689 East 187 St. in Belmont.
Upon arrival, officers observed Miguel Vargas with multiple gunshot wounds to the chest.
EMS transported Vargas to St. Barnabas Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
There have been no arrests made and an investigation remains ongoing at this time.
