NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- A second man died Sunday after he and three other men were shot outside a Popeyes in the Bronx on Friday, police said.

Devren Smith, 37, succumbed to his injuries after being hospitalized at St. Barnabas Hospital in critical condition. Another victim, 24-year-old Jeremiah Smith, died right after being shot in the torso.

The Daily News reported that both slain victims were brothers.

“The family needs prayers,” another brother, Daquan Shepard, 32, told the paper. “We lost two brothers in one day. Two talented, smart brothers.”

The shooting occurred just after 2:30 p.m. at the intersection of East Tremont and Hughes avenues in East Tremont.

Security camera video shared by King Chop Cheese showed two men firing handguns down the block before fleeing.

The third victim was shot in the ankle, and the fourth man was shot in the buttocks. They were both treated and released.

Jose Parrilla, 32, and Salvatore Rivera, 51, have been arrested and charged with murder, attempted murder, manslaughter and criminal possession of a weapon, police said.

A Popeye's worker told the outlet a fight led to the shooting.

The gunfire kicked off a weekend full of violence across that city. There have been at least 20 shootings or stabbings in all five of the city's boroughs since Friday, with several deaths.
