Man, 26, dies after being shot multiple times in East Harlem: police

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — A 26-year-old man died after he was shot multiple times in the chest in East Harlem Tuesday morning, police said.

Authorities said officers received a 911 call at around 11:12 a.m. of a male shot in the vicinity of East 103rd Street and Third Avenue.

Upon arrival, officers found the victim, later identified as Davantay Butts, with multiple gunshot wounds.

He was taken to NYC Health + Hospitals/Metropolitan, where he was pronounced dead.

Police said the gunman was last seen wearing a black hooded sweatshirt and green jacket. No arrests have been made as of Tuesday afternoon.

Footage from the Citizen Video App appeared to show first responders crowding around the victim on the sidewalk.
