NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — Police said a 33-year-old man was gunned down early Sunday on a Brooklyn street that's reportedly notorious for prostitution.
Tjine Hemans was shot in the chest around 12:20 a.m. at Georgia and Wortman avenues, which the Daily News reported is a prostitution hotspot.
Cops said he was rushed to Brookdale University Hospital and Medical Center, where he died.
A gun was recovered, and a person of interest was taken into custody.
Sources told the paper that Hemans had an arrest record that included a 2018 bust for promoting prostitution, however it's unclear whether that arrest led to his killing.
An investigation is ongoing.
