
NEW YORK (1010 WINS/WCBS 880) – A man in a wheelchair was beaten and robbed by two men on a Bronx street, police said Tuesday as they released images of the suspects.
The 64-year-old victim was sitting outside in a wheelchair near W. Kingsbridge Road and Heath Avenue in Kingsbridge Heights around 8:30 p.m. on April 11 when the pair cornered him.
One of the men demanded money from him. When he refused to hand over cash, the duo punched him in the head and stole a cellphone from his pocket, police said.
The victim was transported in stable condition to St. Barnabas Hospital, where he was treated for a head wound.
