NEW YORK (1010 WINS/WCBS 880) – A man was found dead on Thursday inside of a fitness center’s sauna on Staten Island, police said.
Police were called to an LA Fitness center on Richmond Avenue in Greenridge around 5 a.m., where they found a 70-year-old man unconscious and unresponsive inside the sauna.
He was pronounced dead at the scene.
The police did not release the victim's name.
The cause of death was unknown at the time, and the medical examiner will determine the exact cause.
An investigation is ongoing.
