NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- Police on Tuesday released images of a suspect accused of attacking a man aboard a Queens subway train over the weekend, authorities said.

At approximately 12:40 a.m. on Sunday, June 11, a 27-year-old man was on a moving southbound 7 train when he became engaged in a verbal dispute with the suspect, officials said.

As the dispute escalated, the suspect proceeded to punch the victim multiple times in the face.

The suspect exited the train at the 90th Street - Elmhurst Avenue station in Jackson Heights and fled street side in an unknown direction.

The victim sustained a laceration and swelling to the face. He was transported by EMS to NYC Health + Hospitals/Elmhurst in stable condition.
