NEW YORK (1010 WINS/WCBS 880) -- A 50-year-old man was seriously injured when a group of people attacked him unprovoked at a Coney Island subway terminal, police said Thursday.
The NYPD released surveillance footage of the roughly half-dozen suspects it's searching for in last Friday night's mob assault at the Coney Island–Stillwell Avenue station.
The victim was standing at the mezzanine level of the station at 9:45 p.m. when his attackers came up and beat him for no reason, police said.

The group punched and kicked him repeatedly in the head and body before fleeing the station on foot, according to police.
The victim was transported by EMS to NYU Langone Hospital—Brooklyn, where he was listed in serious but stable condition.
Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS.
