
NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- The NYPD is looking to identify two suspects who seriously injured a man during a violently robbery inside a Manhattan NYCHA housing complex earlier this month, authorities said.
At approximately 3:20 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 2, a 20-year-old man was standing in a lobby of the Fulton Houses NYCHA Development in Chelsea, when he was approached by the two suspects, officials said.
According to police, the suspects began kicking and punching the victim multiple times in the head.
The suspects proceeded to take the victim's cellphone as well as a fanny pack on his person that contained cash and other miscellaneous items.
They were last seen fleeing westbound on West 19th Street on foot.
EMS responded and transported the victim to NYC Health and Hospitals/Bellevue in stable condition.
The victim sustained serious injuries to his face and eye socket as a result of the incident.
Both suspects being sought are described as males with a dark complexion.
