Man carjacks Mercedes at gunpoint in Brooklyn before fleeing

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- Police are searching for a suspect accused of carjacking a man at gunpoint earlier this week in Brooklyn, then fleeing in the stolen vehicle.

It happened at 8:15 a.m. Monday—a 30-year-old man was inside of 1102 Saint Johns Pl. in Crown Heights when he was approached by the suspect, officials said

The suspect displayed a firearm and forcibly took the keys to the victim’s black 2018 Mercedes Benz C300 before fleeing eastbound on Saint Johns Place in the vehicle, which has since been recovered.

The victim was uninjured in the robbery, police said.

The suspect was last seen wearing a dark blue hat, black mask, black hooded sweatshirt, black pants, and gray sneakers.
