NEW YORK (1010 WINS) – One man was killed and another man was critically injured when a Maserati they were in crashed into a pillar and burst into flames in Brooklyn early Saturday morning, police said.
The driver of the Maserati was speeding and lost control of the vehicle before crashing at Atlantic and Rochester avenues in Crown Heights around 3:45 a.m., according to police.
The vehicle struck a pillar of the elevated Long Island Rail Road tracks and caught fire, police said.
One man was pronounced dead at the scene, while a 35-year-old man was rushed to Brookdale Hospital in critical condition, according to police.
WABC reported that the man who was killed was the driver and the man who was injured was a passenger.
The man who died has not been identified.
