
NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — A man was fatally shot multiple times in the Bronx on Wednesday afternoon, police said.

Officers responded just before 3 p.m. to a 911 call of shots fired at East 172 Street and Harrod Avenue in Soundview, reportedly after the victim got into a fight with the occupants of a blue van, displaying a knife before at least one of them fired at him.
Cops said the unidentified man was shot in the right shoulder, right side of the chest, both arms, left lower abdomen and both legs.
EMS responded and transported the victim to NYC Health and Hospitals/Jacobi where he was pronounced deceased.
There are no arrests at this time and the investigation is ongoing, police said.
