MOUNT SINAI, N.Y. (1010 WINS) -- A 33-year-old man driving a pickup truck was killed after going off the roadway early Friday morning, according to Suffolk police.
At about 1:25 a.m., Joseph Berendowski Jr. was driving a 2007 Mazda pickup truck westbound on Canal Road in Mount Sinai when the truck veered from the roadway and crashed near Griffin Drive, officials said.
Berendowski was taken to Stony Brook University Hospital, where he was pronounced dead, authorities said.
