NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- A person of interest in in custody after a man was found stabbed to death inside his Brooklyn apartment late Sunday night, authorities said.
At approximately 10 p.m., police responded to a 911 call of a person stabbed inside of 1 Vernon Ave. in Bedford-Stuyvesant.

Upon arrival, officers observed 35-year-old Desmond Holmes with a stab wound to the chest.
EMS transported Holmes to Woodhull Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
An individual has been taken into custody and an investigation remains ongoing.
